This is an opportunity to hear one of Ireland’s most distinctive voices sing some great songs.
Included in his set will be new single “Don’t teach me how to cry” that he has just released. This follows up from his album release “Never Alone” that had 45 tracks including six new tracks and 39 tracks from his previous 8 albums.
Since returning to the circuit Sean has toured Germany and America.
He will be playing all over the country during the summer. In September he will be returning to America, October he will take in Spain and England and most of November he will be in Germany. In December he will be touring Ireland with his “Christmas by the Hearth tour”
Due to the great loss of his wife Virginia in 2010 Sean did not tour for nearly four years and last year he made the decision to go back on tour and he is really enjoying his revival and getting to play in venues where he used to do on an annual basis.
This is an opportunity to, hear Sean sing Home, Home away from Home, exile, Isle of Hope, Paint me a picture of Ireland, Galway to graceland, Man from Connemara, Like i used to do and many more.
Sean will be joined on stage with Pat Coyne on guitar and Fergus Feeley on Mandocello.
Sean plays five instruments on stage tin whistle, low whistle flute and harmonica, I some concerts he plays the uileen pies.
Sean s spans across many genres trad, Sean nos, country, bluegrass,
Sean is from a very famous musical family, his grandmother was well known for collecting songs.
His father and uncle and aunts had a traditional Ceile band and played around county Galway during the fifties and sixties.
Sean has been on stage since he was seven and is a brother to his well-known sister, Dolores.
